Victorian English Solid Silver Queens Pattern Basting, Gravy or Stuffing Spoon, Fully Hallmarked For London 1859, making this a 162 Year old Antique Treasure. Fully and clearly hallmarked for FRANCIS HIGGINS III of The Portland Co registered from 1859 to 1862, only registered for 3 years so a nice collectable piece.
This Spoon is 12.25 inches/31cm Long, and has a very impressive weight of 157gms, it is of the QUEENS PATTERN, it is not monogrammed but does have a crest of a dragon I believe. The Hallmarks are clearly struck, and the spoon is made of a extremely good gauge of silver.The condition is good Antique condition for a spoon of 162 years old, no dinks, dents or repairs, a few surface scratches commensurate with age, nothing to spoil the over all look of the spoon.
