QUEEN ANNE SILVER SUGAR CASTER 1704 BENJAMIN PYNE RARE 339G 8 RARE. Stunning large early Queen Anne silver caster in excellent original condition.Small knock to the acorn finial on the top a tiny dent to the grill and the foot is ever so slightly wavy but stands firm. All these are minor and mentioned for perfectionist. And for a item of this age it is in exceptional condition. I wish I could look this well after 316 years. Does have a large engraving but I believe it to be period to the item or certainly not much after this style of crest or engraving is early.
The date letter in nice and clear for 1704 there is a faint lions head erased mark and a faint makers mark for Benjamin Pyne. The top grill also has a faint matching makers mark and another clear lion head mark inside the rim of the lid.
Nice heavy solid piece weighing 339 grams and standing at approx 8. Please check out my other items I do also have a Queen Anne coffee pot listed.
